Six Deacons ordained for the Catholic Diocese of Iringa, Tanzania
Iringa: Six seminarians of the Catholic Diocese of Iringa have been ordained to the Sacred Order of the Diaconate by Bishop Romanus Elamu Mihali at the Sacred Heart of Jesus Cathedral, Kihesa Parish.
The Holy Mass of Ordination was celebrated yesterday, 28 December 2025, during which the following were ordained deacons: Christian Paulinus Kigunga, Erich Rweyemamu Katozi, Joseph Herman Mario Lugala, Petro Francisco Simba, Remus Gwerino Mdemu, and Sebastian Damas Pangani.
This is truly a great gift to the Church, and the faithful of the Catholic Diocese of Iringa are warmly encouraged to continue praying for these newly ordained deacons as they carry out their ministry.
